Volunteer Opportunities

New Life Directions Ministries has the following volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups:
Life Coach – Many of our single moms have weak support systems and need someone to walk alongside them. As a mentor, you could offer friendship, support, guidance, and encouragement as they navigate a new direction on their journey as individuals and parents.
Donation and Resource Coordinators - We need volunteers to help sort, organize, and distribute donated items from our onsite resource rooms to single moms in need. We also need volunteers to coordinate logistics for donated furniture to be picked up and delivered to families.
Carpenter and/or Maintenance - We need volunteers who can maintain repairs and updates on the house or training center as needed. From small to large jobs, volunteers are critical to saving the Ministry costly labor expenses.
Landscaping - We need an individual or a group to help spruce up the landscaping with flowers, trim the shrubs and regular yard maintenance at the various locations.
Cleaners - We need volunteers to help clean up rooms, when vacated and set them up for our next family in need.
Talented Decorators - We need volunteers that have a talent to make a room “feel like home” to make each family feel welcome and comfortable.
Social Worker Interns - We need college students that are working on their Masters in Social Work to assist with case management.
If you would like to hear more about any of the volunteer opportunities above, please reach out by email to Tena McNair at nldminc@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest and desire to help single parent families!
